About Author

Ahmad Mirzendehdel was born on March 20th, 1959 in Rasht City, Guilan Province, in northern Iran. During his early childhood his family moved to Tehran, where he graduated from high-school in mathematics in 1977. The year 2022 marks forty years since he graduated from Mississippi State University as a mechanical engineer. He returned to Iran in 1982 and was assigned to the Gendarmerie to discharge the two-year military service in the war-torn Khouzestan Province. He was then employed as an engineering consultant for four years. His career as a practicing mechanical engineer continued at Tehran Urban & Suburban Railway Co. (Tehran Metro) for a sixteen-year period, from 1988 till 2004. During 90s, he represented TUSRC at the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) for four consecutive years. His professional career continues at Tehran Wagon Manufacturing Co., since 2004 until retirement in 2017. During his career, he was also a member of the Iranian Association of Rail Transport Engineering. 

In addition, he was officially recognized and licensed as a sworn and certified English Translator to the Judiciary of I.R. Iran in 1989 and is currently a member of the Iranian Association of Official Translators.

After his retirement in engineering, he pursues his passion for Persian literature and writing full time.
